GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Hallo from Germany,

I know that my questions mainly refer to FusionInventory Plugin, perhaps anybody can still help. I am open to alternatives for scanning the network, but with OCS Inventory for example it was not possible to import the software list to GLPI.

I am using GLPI 0.80.7 with FusionInventory Plugin 0.80 1.1.
After scanning the network I got 620 SNMP models... There are only recognized the chipsets. How can I match these informations to the devices?

Could you explain how to enable the notice of
- filling level of the cartridge
- pagecounter
- IP/MAC adress?

Thanks!

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

After have made network inventory (get few informations), you may do network inventory (SNMP inventory) to inventory devices by SNMP and get all informations

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Thanky for your reply, but I don't quite follow. How can I do SNMP inventory? The tasks are are done automatically, aren't they?
Network scanning works good for computers, monitors and software.

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Network scanning don't get monitors and software of computers, local inventory (with agent installed on each computer) do this

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

You are right, it was a missunderstanding from my side. :-)
I defined an IP adress range. What are the next steps?

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Can you give me a hint to do the network inventory? Unfortunately the documentation doesn't deal with this subject.
I have defined two tasks (network scan / SNMP inventory), but there are no results. :-/

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Network inventory and SNMP inventory are working now. How do I find the right SNMP model?

It may find them, if not, your devices is not supported, see this procedure : http://forge.fusioninventory.org/projec … g_snmpwalk

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Ok, I will report next week.
What can I do if devices are not recognized at all? For example FusionInventory doesn't detect our IP phones and switches (OCS does).

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Reports are done and will be sent when the mailserver is working again.

I didn't express myself well, there are several devices not detected (not even as unknown devices). :-/

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Hallo David,

there are still several devices not detected at all (for example: all switches). Do you have an advice? Thank you!

Re: GLPI+FusionInventory: Matching SNMP models

Not detected = problem in configuration of your switches.

use agent version 2.1.14 (not 2.2 to test it)
