I have finished with Styleswitcher. So, here is a ZIP file. To install Styleswitcher download and upzip this file. Copy files to your GLPI folder overwriting existing files and keeping folder structure. Warning! Backup your files first. This release is for GLPI 0.72. Post your comments.
I install it as you mention and it worked perfect.
I want to know if anyone has found an error.
Thanks

It seems a little buggy for me, the .72 version.
The blue theme worked at first, but now it just loads the standard green theme.
Also, the page loads forever, even after its done loading (The taskbar on the bottom of the browser (Firefox here) never completes and says 'done'). I've reverted to a backup after adding the new one because of the loading issue, which is more of an annoyance.
I was a fan of the original style switcher for the old version of GLPI, and I was sad when upgrading to .72 prevented it from working.
My Configuration: GLPI .72.3 running on XAMPP from a VMware Virtual Machine (Windows XP). PHP 5.2, Apache 2.2.3...

Styleswitcher you tried on your GLPI 0.72.3 was version designed for GLPI 0.72.0 only and it won't work with any other versions of GLPI. I have to update Styleswitcher for every new GLPI release.

This doesn't really allow you to apply themes, it just changes the appearance for the current user. I tried removing it, and now my GLPI is broken.
Edit: It was something else (eaccelerator) that was killing httpd. Still, this Styles Switcher mucks with the core glpi files in a way that makes it hard to remove. I still wouldn't recommend it.
