WMI Inventory Example

Hello Friends,

I'm currently testing out our ability to use an agent in a single computer to collect WMI information from other domain systems. Would anyone know how to properly set that up. I see that under Tasks > Computer Information > Collect Information , I can use WMI but then it asks me for a Name: Moniker: Class: Properties:

Could someone please give me an example of each just so I can understand how objects are pulled. I would really appreciate this.

Re: WMI Inventory Example

Hi norrii,

the Collect task can only query local WMI values, no values from other domain systems.

Can you explain what kind of remote WMI values would you want to collect ?
If you need remote inventory, this is another problem but a solution is being developed based on WinRM for windows.
