How to move or mark device to new user

Hello.

I have list of users (created manual)
I have list of devices (keyboard, notebooks, monitors, printers etc)
I have list of devices status (not used, in use, spoiled)

Today I get new devices: keyboards. I've registered it in devices list and mark it as new (status: not used) Tomorrow I should give it to new user.
How I can attach keyboard to new user?

I can manually change status of keyboard to "in use" and attach it to user, but I do not see name of this user in history of keyboard, I see "changed from 0 to arry". I think you understand what i mean.
