Hi all,
We've been using GLPI for around 7 years (or more). Originally, opening a new ticket, submitting a ticket, searches etc would be instant. these days, our technicians are waiting up to 20 seconds just for a ticket to open.
What we have done:
Ran mysql_tuner against the DB and followed all the recommendations
Ensured no packages are massively out of date (we can't upgrade PHP from 5.6 due to other software on the platform).
Added the DB server's hostname to the GLPI server's /etc/hosts file
Please can anyone recommend any ways to improve performance?
Here are our specs:
GLPI Server:
IBM xSeries
Quad core Intel Xeon @ 3.5GHz
20GB RAM
SAS HDD's in RAID 1
CentOS 6
GLPI v9.4.1.1
PHP 5.6.40
DB Server:
IBM xSeries
Intel Xeon 10-core (hyperthreaded - 20 cores) @ 2.4GHz
32GB RAM
SSD HDD's in RAID 1
CentOS7
MariaDB v10.2.22
Our GLPI has around 102,000 tickets.
The GLPI server and DB server are local to each other, connected to the same Cisco gigabit switch.
Thank you for your consideration.

Which version are you using?
If is 9.4.1.1 see this topic https://forum.glpi-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=168395
If you can't upgrade php version 5.6, I guess you should use docker.
