Ldap average time to authenticate

Hi there.
In our company we have 2 domain servers, and the average time to do a glpi authentication is 29 seconds!
This is normal?
Thanks in advance.
Serge

Ps: We are using XAMPP for Windows Version 1.7.0 in a windows server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition.

Re: Ldap average time to authenticate

That is obviously not normal I would say. We have more than 2 domain servers though, but I am talking worldwide here and my LDAP logins are usually around 1 sec. or less and the authentication server is offsite.

Thanks mate.
Any idea why we have this problem?

Re: Ldap average time to authenticate

Not really, but have you checked your logs from GLPI and Windows if there are any "unusual" things going on. I also believe that I read something here on the forum about long login times, but I cannot find it. I think that was with local glpi authentication though and might not reflect your problem. I think it was due to the cron tasks running in background of GLPI, if you have a rather huge install, but this is just what I can remember.
If you have any other "clean" Windows server try with that one and or use a Linux box and see if it shows the same behaviour.
