Hi,
I have searched the forum but can't find a "How to guide.." on how to do this.
If someone can give me a hand on how I accomplish this, I'd be very grateful.
Cheers
DK

I've been using Ubuntu with GLPI... is there any good "how guides on how to setup a mail gateway" which anyone found useful which could help me set it up on ubuntu.

You juste have to have a valide pop or imap count and ton configure GLPI to collect ticket on this.
It's not a specific processs for unbuntu or other....

I have GLPI setup on a web host... i have configure the mail gateway as the following
Mail Gateway: 1
Name: Mailgateway
Server: imap.gmail.com
Connection options IMAP / SSL/ / NO-VALIDATE-CERT
Email (option)
Port (optional)
Resulting connection parameter {imap.gmail.com/imap/ssl/novalidate-cert}
Login: myemailadd@gmail.com
Password: mypassword
Then I click "update"... then I click "Get email tickets now" and then GLPI freezes for about 2 minutes, then comes back with the error message "connection failed" can someone help me resolve this!
Cheers
Robin

Cheers for the feedback... I also had connection failure with another provider... I find out that I couldn't use non-ascii characters for the password... will this be resolved in the future?

I don't see any issue with the stored non ascii password.... (check in the glpi_mailgate table)
