Inventory Permissions question

Here is what I'd like to accomplish.

I'd like to have a profile that can only see a specific group's inventory. From what I can find it is an all or nothing situation for inventory.

I'm wondering if someone who is more familiar with the ins and outs of GLPI could find a way.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Inventory Permissions question

The only restriction available is to use "entities" and to give right only on the good one.

Re: Inventory Permissions question

I'm sorry. I don't understand what you're getting at. Would you explain it a little more?

Re: Inventory Permissions question

Entity (since GLPI 0.70) is a way to describe your organisation (as a tree of entities).
For sample, a entity could be one society in a large group.

You could create each equipment in an entity

And you can give user right to 1 entity or to a sub-tree.

See online deme of latest GLPI.

Re: Inventory Permissions question

I'll take a look at the demo, and see if I can figure it out.

Thanks for the response, and I'll post back with any questions.

Re: Inventory Permissions question

Thank you. I think I have it worked out now. I just didn't have a good grasp of what entities were.
