Dear All
I have been successfully running GLPI and OCS for the past few months. I am faced with a new requirement from my helpdesk team. They wish to update PC information in GLPI and the same should update at OCS end. This is so as it is a pain to open ocs reports each time and update data there, moreover the data updated in OCS gets reflected after 10 hours or so unless we manually update from OCS link.
Is such a thing possible ? I think it should be as it might be related to database priviledges.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks and Regards
Dhiraj

GLPI do not update informations in OCS but you can write a plugin if yuo want to do such a thing.
But I do not understand your aim of doing such a thing.
OCS to GLPI updates can be managed more precisely using the mass_ocs_import plugin.

Thanks MoYo
The actual reason for doing such thing is coz of the administrative info. I have attached admin info like user phone number, Floor No, department etc on the ocs side. Now users or PC often change in our setup (like transfers etc) so to update the admin information about the new user either I have to re-run the ocs agent and wait for 10 hours or so for the info to come to OCS DB OR do an update from glpi (which my helpdesk is now very comfortable with)and the same is updated at OCS db as well.
Any directions to writing such plugin shall be helpful.
Regards
Dhiraj

If you are using GLPI to keep your information, why do you need to store them in OCS ?
What are the informations provided by OCS and not available in GLPI which need to give access to "ocsreport" to your users ?
We are using GLPI for a while and our users doesn't use ocs console.

dear Remi
I ll try to elaborate a bit
Through the OCS agent we get the hardware details . I have added a few custom fields which get stored in OCS DB. these are the following
Tag c-100583 --> This refers to the bar code sticker number on each machine
LanID 8B019 --> This refers to the LAN point ID which we have given for port identification
Department HR --> Department Name
Contact 2615 -- RAX No, to call user if required
Floor 6 --> Floor location
User 00075 --> User ID
Now ocs agent passes all this info and stores in the OCS db(which I refer as administrative info). I am also able to see the same info in GLPI as it pulls this info from the db and displays the same in glpi interface Inventory-> Computers. This means whenever admin info is updated via OCS console, it shows up in glpi web console. (sometimes 10 hours later or next PC reboot)
Now what happens is my helpdesk operator updates this ADMIN INFO at GLPI interface and expects that OCS database should also be updated. (I believe that OCS user has only read privilege so the OCD db is not updated through glpi interface.)
So clearly my info is in OCS DB and clearly avaialble to GLPI for view but not updating. I need a way to update my admin info resting in OCS via GLPI.
