Mailgate error

My notifications are working, and my mailgate was working until this morning. Now when trying to "get mail tickets now" I'm getting a blank screen after a timeout. I put GLPI in debug mode, and when clicking "get mail tickets now" I get the following:

PHP ERROR: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to int in /var/www/html/glpi/inc/mailgate.class.php at line 437

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /var/www/html/glpi/inc/common.function.php on line 913

Any ideas about what could be causing this issue?

Can you telnet to the IMAP or POP port successfully of your mail server?

Yes, I can. MailGate also magically started working again...
