Unable to use 0.70.2 or 0.71

I tried to install GLPI 0.71 as well as 0.70.2 but both give me the same error when doing Step 2 of the set up. I get the error:
connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)

If I install the 0.68.3 version, it works just fine. Please advise.

Version:
GLPI version 0.68.3 (cannot connect to db using 0.70.2 or 0.71 versions so had to use this one)
Apache 2.0

ar you sure of your mysql password ?

Yes, I am sure. It is the same password that I used to setup .68 but doing the exact same thing in .70 or .71, gives me an error.

When I could not install those versions, I downloaded .68 and installed it. It installed without issue with the same host, user and password I was trying with .70.

Do you have special chars in your password ?

Yes, I do. I see what the issue is. I changed the password and now can install 0.70.2. Thank you for your help.
