Hello, I have been using GLPI in our IT department for 1 year and we have been very pleased. One thing, however small, has been an annoyance that I feel could be easily added.
When we are adding adding anything where a user populated dropdown is present it would be very nice if it included an item to add a new list item. The functionality I am describing is EXACTLY like the dropdown in Gmail for adding a new label.
For example:
I would like to add a new vendor. I fill in the name, the phone, everything in the left column, then I get to the 'Vendor Type' dropdown. Oops! I don't have a appropriate selection for the vendor I am entering. My options are 1) Fill out what I can then go to Setup->Dropdowns and add it, then go back to the vendor and select the new Vendor Type, or 2) Lose my data and stop entering the Vendor go to Setup->Dropdowns and add my Vendor Type, then re-enter the vendor information.
It would be very convenient if the selections in the dropdowns went like this:
-----
-Add new entry-
Item 1
Item 2
Item 3
If the user selected the '-Add new entry-' item it would pop open a window where the user could quickly enter a new vendor type, when the popup was closed it would populate the list with the new selection.
This might already be an idea present somewhere in the development area, so I apologize for the repeat.. Let me know if I can provide any further details.

I am using GLPI version 0.70.2. I am assuming that this is a new feature in 0.71?
