Dear all,
I have a few questions about GLPI and the use of the software section.
When you add a license you can only add the financial information 'as a model for the elements which you should add', which I found out is english for 'not very useful'
I played around with it a bit and found out I can only store the financial information for an underlying element which has been marked 'installed' within GLPI. (The screen where you get the list of computers on which you installed the license, next to that you can add the financial information as usual.)
Next, I use the export function alot, especially the screens where you see all of your computer/devices/software etc. You can put 'Value' as a column there too. I expected GLPI to calculate the sum of all underlying elements of the software for me, but instead it just states '0.00'.
I do not use the reports, because I think the generated reports aren't very 'pretty' nor useful.. sorry (A)
questions:
1. How can I add the financial information for every license I put in GLPI, without needing to virtually install it first? (And with that I mean: supplier, order number, invoice number, purchase date, value etc etc, the real financial stuff, not just the license stuff)
2. How can I get GLPI to calculate the sum / value of my licenses (underlying values)? Or, generate a list (which can be exported to excel / cvs, like the default list) with every underlying element on it, with it's own specific financial information?
3. Will this be handled the same way in future versions?
