Our home made onlien translation application is UTF8 compliant and there is no problem.

A solution will be found in few days.
Lovely,
In the meantime I am struggling with my translationefforts, but I seem to have a problem - with the actual format (DOS/ANSI/UTF?). Either it doesnt load or the swedish characters ÅÄÖåäö become scrambledd into something really wierd. Any idea why? I wrote a small application to help me translate the full file that drops it down for testing then restores the english one etc, I got it all working now except för the actual translated file doesn't work. I think it must be a format problem, because it looks good in ultraedit.

Codification Automatique (fields marked by *)
The name, inventory and immobilization number fields are filled automatically with creation if the field corresponding in the gauge contains a chain of formatting of the form:
< XXX####X >
* < and > in beginning and end of the format indicate that it acts of a format.
* X represents an unspecified character
* \g: seek number among all the identical fields based on the same format
* #: site of the number to be incremented (a number of figures equal to the number of #)
* \Y: year on 4 digits
* \y: year on 2 digits
* \m: month
* \d: day
How can we help improving the non-french help, because I can see this being a problem both now and in the future with documentationdrift. This is a big issue with most opensource projects.

I have question about inventory number management.
Is it possible (or planned) in GLPI to assign inventory numbers to added hardware automaticaly, i.e. as AUTO INCREMENT in MySQL or something like this?
