I have downloaded today the latest version directly from GLPI site, but after install I can see the older version 0.68.3 instead of the actual version 0.70.2...

Re: Older version in tar.gz file

Yes, I am sure. I have not trying GLPI yet and after fresh install I can see at all screen the version number 0.68.3. The inbuilt update function tells me there is the new version 0.70.2 at GLPI web site available. But the files in tar.gz are dated 2008-01-28 ... strange. The downloaded file "glpi-0.70.2.tar.gz" file has size of 1738171 bytes.

Re: Older version in tar.gz file

How the 0.68 is installed ?

Perhaps (with package under linux) you have a Alias which direct you to another location.

Check your apache config / log to see what page are served.

Re: Older version in tar.gz file

?? I don't understand

I've dl GLPI like you and the version present in the sql script is 0.70.2

"INSERT INTO glpi_config VALUES ('1','10','0','1','255','30','15','50',' 0.70.2','GLPI powered by indepnet','5','0','admsys@xxxxx.fr','SIGNATURE','','fr_FR','#fff2f2','#ffe0e0','#ffcece','#ffbfbf','#ffadad','2005-12-31','10','','','',NULL,'08:00:00','20:00:00','1','0','0','http://localhost/glpi/','0','','0','','100','*','0','50','1','1','0','name','0','50','0','0','1','0',NULL,'25',NULL,NULL,NULL,'8080',NULL,NULL,'1','0','0','0','0','0','0','5','2',NULL,NULL,'0','2','2','2','2','2','1','0','0','1','1','1','1','0','1','1','1');"

How is it possible that you read 0.68.3 ??

Re: Older version in tar.gz file

remi is right - that's the reason. The version 0.68.3 was installed with my Ubuntu 7.10. It was not installed by me and Apache was confused and so am I. Thanks to all for cooperation.
