GLPI sends emails only from 8 am till 5pm, Monday thru Friday

and no emails are being sent at other times.

What could be the reason? or what configuration switch am i missing?

GLPI had been used for over 5 years now, multiple upgrades and now on version 9.2.1, Ubuntu 16

Hi vlad25,

pls check the run mode of "queuednotification". Is it set to "glpi"? Then you need some action in glpi to run the task. That means if no one will work with glpi the Task will not run.

If you need the queuednotification around the clock you have to set run mode to "cli" and create a cron job.

Thanks a lot.
I've switched mode to "cli". Then "queuednotification" action is just stuck, not moving, unless I explicitly press "Execute".
Please advise!

on an Linux Distribution pls create a cronjop (crontab -e) with this command "/usr/bin/php7.0 /var/www/glpi/front/cron.php &>/dev/null" or similar that fits your php version.
