Is there any way to deny the update of a plugin if it is from another author? I have edited a plugin and I need to know if I can make anyone update it since I would lose those changes. a greeting

If I understand correctly, you modified the source code of a plugin, and you want to prevent loss of this code if someone updates the plugin ?
If your change is bugfix or new interesting feature, you should consider to submit your code. If it is interesting enough the developers will probably merge it into the development version and all future releases will contain your changes.
