Plugin not visible

GLPI 9.1.2
CentOS 6.8

I just downloaded two plugins 'Dashboard' and 'Custom Fields' without seeing the compatibility versions.

Un-tared both the plugins and placed in the glpi plugins folder.

After login to glpi, checked the plugins under setup. I found that only Dashboard plugin is shown there. Custom Fields plugin is not there.

Then I installed and enabled the Dashboard plugin. After pressing the Dashboard plugin, the entire screen (web page) is blank. Several times refreshed the browser, but, no use. I closed the browser and re-opened the site. Login page is appeared, but, blank page at inside after login.

Any solution for this please.

Thanks

Re: Plugin not visible

Hi vnmurthy,

Have you tried to delete the plugin folder? (you also need to clear the cache of your browser)

Furthermore, "Custom Fields" is no longer maintained, so you need to use "Fields" :

https://github.com/pluginsglpi/fields/releases

If your problem comes from the "Dashboard" plugin, you can use "My Dashboard" instead :

https://github.com/InfotelGLPI/mydashboard/releases

I hope this will help you.

Pippo

Re: Plugin not visible

Hi pippo,

Thanks for your reply.

I removed the dashboard plugin from the plugins folder. Now the problem has been solved and it came to normal look.

Further, I removed the "Custom Fields" plugin and added "Field" plugin. Installed properly. But, I am unable to add new fields in Assets.

I would like to add Conference Halls (we have 5 No's conference halls in our office) and want to add to reservations. So, when ever any user required, he can book conference hall using glpi.

Can you guide me how to add this facility to our glpi software.

Thank you,

Re: Plugin not visible

Hi vnmurthy,

Sorry for the lateness of my response, I was not in office.

Reservations in GLPI are made for assets. You can't use it to book a Conference Room.

The only solution I have is to create reservation rooms as if they were computers and authorize reservations on it. (That's how we have done in my company)

Re: Plugin not visible

You can also use generic object plugin to manage rooms as assets with reservations :
https://github.com/pluginsGLPI/genericobject/releases

I use 'Dashboard' and 'Custom Fields'  with GLPI 9.1.2 and it works fine.
