Nagios integration

Hello!

I'm new to the forum but not new to GLPI.  I've been using this platform for a couple years alongside Nagios for server and service monitoring.  I wanted to share a solution I came up with to automatically create and close GLPI tickets for nagios alerts.

See my blog post on GLPI integration with Nagios through custom event handlers

Thanks!

Re: Nagios integration

I hope the devs look at this as this is a much sought after feature

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Nagios integration

That's great.  My next project will be a GLPI plugin to create downtime for hosts and services.

An administrator can login to GLPI and select hosts and/or services that will be going down for maintenance.  End users are sent an email giving estimated down time and affected systems information and Nagios is automatically updated so notifications are not sent out during that time.

Currently, there is no way to notify users about scheduled maintenance within Nagios and down time must be scheduled inside the CGI.  Its a hassle to manage two separate systems, especially when my admins are in GLPI most of the time.  Giving them a single administration point for both tasks will make their lives easier.

Re: Nagios integration

Sorry about the site.  On shared hosting and was infected a couple weeks ago.  Site has been cleaned and received a good bill of health from Google but still shows as blacklisted on Sucuri (http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/homeofdrock.com).  You'll see that sucuri shows no malware on the site currently.

Re: Nagios integration

I'm planning on testing this Nagios integration today.

Has anyone had success with it and the latest GLPI? Are there any issues I need to know about, or improved Nagios plugins elsewhere?

Cheers.

Re: Nagios integration

Good evening Derrick,
It seems that your plugin no longer works in version 9.5.5. Have you planned an update to this plugin ?
Thank you for your help.
