Time Zone

When we submit a case on Helpdesk, the time stated is not correct as per the server time.  It is basically not following the correct time zone although e-mail notification does.  How to set the correct timezone?

Re: Time Zone

We also had the same issue.  Example, when we post a ticket, the server time is 8:40am (GMT+8).  But on the webpage, it stated as 1:40am which is correct as what you mentioned above.  But we need to set the time for GLPI using the correct timezone.

Thanks

Re: Time Zone

No issues on the date as long as it's not beyond the 8-hour time zone.  But the time shown on GLPI does not follow our time zone.  Maybe the sample below can help.  This is an e-mail sample when we create a new ticket and then update it.

New ticket e-mail header:

from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ([xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]) by xxx with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713);     Wed, 13 Sep 2006 16:45:26 +0800
                                                                                                                                                                                ^
New ticket e-mail content:                                                                                                                                           |
                                                                                                                                                                                 |
Begin date: 2006-09-13 08:45:25  <-------------------------------------------  The time here and the time ------------------------

So, when we open the ticket page, it will stated as the begin address instead of localtime address.  If a user submit a ticket at 9.00am, GLPI will record the ticket created at 1am.

Hope this explaination is clearer.

Re: Time Zone

Problem solved.  Need to edit correct php.ini and change the timezone.

date.timezone = Asia/Kuala_Lumpur (or whatever timezone u in).

Restart your webserver and the correct time is displayed.  However, it only applies to new posting/update and not previously created/updated tickets.
