Hello,

We are looking at GLPI to replace a few systems and like what I see so far. A couple of things I do not see deal with more detail on a particular asset. A few fields we would like to have are:

Purchase Date
Purchase Price
Purchased From (edit: Manufacturer fills this requirement)
Warranty Expiration
Asset ID/Barcode Number (edit: Inventory number fills this requirement)

I am sure we will find others, but for now those would really help out.

I have dug through the code and see where to add this to a computer and have this working. I can probably go through and do the same to monitors, network, devices, printers, and phone.

Does this need to be added anywhere else?

how do I post the changes so it can be included in the code base?

There is some code, some language updates, and some SQL db table changes/additions.

Any thoughts how I can help move this along?

financial infos already include these fields.

You could help the development of GLPI. Introduce you first on glpi-dev@gna.org

I do not see where financial info is? Can you exmplain where I should be seeing this data?

If I am on an individual computer view, should there be a specific tab called financial or which tab would I find it?

item -> management -> activate commercial infos

I have found it!.. I did not see the link on the management tab before.

Some of the language might need to be altered, but I believe that is what I am looking for.
