OCS-NG Software Import

I'm testing glpi 0.65 RC1 and I have a problem with the ocs-ng import.
It works fine, but it does not import any Software to glpi. In the ocs-ng settings menu I selected Unique Import.

Do you have any ideas?

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

Please when you report a problem give more informations.

It's impossible to help you with only this.

Which version of ocs-ng do you use, wich OS etc .. ....

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

You must to manage first your softwares in  OCS first in the dictionnary section.
Only softwares which are mark unchanged or in a specific category are imported.

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

Hi Guys,

I have a similar problem and - sorry - do not completely understand your explanations.

I am using RC2 on win2k standard XAMPP as server, clients are using FC2 / Debian. OCSinventory is the last release, v 4014. In OCS, all required information is displayed and available in the inventory, all information (except software) is imported correctly.

What I tried so far to get - essential - software information into GLPI:

- Set import option for software to "unique import", tried - but got nothing imported
- added software manually to the software category of GLPI, exactly as it was written in ocs (e.g. openofficeorg-draw), tried again - still no effect

Any recommendations, what to try next?

Thank's in advance,
Christof

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

No you must to use the dictionnary of OCs to say : I want to import this sofware.

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

Ok, so you go into OCS and make a new category.  Then GLPI should import those.  I have already imported the computers so how can I get GLPI to import the new software categories that I have created in OCS?

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

Ok I answered my own question.  When the computers refresh in OCS and then you do a Synch of already imported computers then the software gets updated in GLPI.

Re: OCS-NG Software Import

In fact imports are done only if OCS data changed.
Data changes are manage using a checksum.
For now, only OCS updates may generate a data changed  so a checksum modification.
The dictionnary modification do not do it. But it will be done in the future by the OCS team.
