Reservation - how to use it?

I am having problems with "reservation" module. There are no items available to order for the user. In Manual I found:
"To allow users to reserve a material, you just need to go on its description page and to click on “Authorize loan” link"

But I added some materials (in Consumable Materials section), but there is no link to allow users to do so... Or am I doing sth wrong?

Re: Reservation - how to use it?

Let me explain it that way

I am buying two printer toners. I use consumables or cartridges menu to add new item and let say I bought two of them, so I add it.
How can I make an option "RESERVATON" work for this toners. I would like to let people order it using GLPI Reservation system...

reservation are not allowed for consumables or cartridges.
Maybe you can use a virtual peripheral to make it available.
