Computers overwriting each other (OCSNG)

I'm not sure if this is more an OCS problem or a GLPI problem.  Right now I'm inventorying a bunch of iBooks, and GLPI/OCS has been working well, that is up until the last few machines I've tried to add.  These machines seem to be overwriting each other, IE the new machine isn't seen as a new machine but instead updates a machine already in the DB.

The best I can tell is this is due to the machine names being auto generated and possibly the same.  I'm not sure how a machine's "finger print" is determined but it's done mainly based on the machine's name that seems kind of volatile.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

K
