New to GLPI

Hello All,

Im new to GLPI and have a few queries about the product.
before that details about my setup.

GLPI Version     : 0.68.3 Fresh Install
Platform                     : FC4
Apache Version    : 2.0.54
php Version    : 5.1.2
MySql Version    : 4.1.20

Inventory imported from OCS-NG.

Q1. Tools> Reservations
    How do we add items to the reservable items column? currently i dont have anything there.
    Can we put reservations fer something like a " Meeting Room" and define the time etc.
Q2. Tools> Knowledge Database
    Can we add files to the knowledge database? like tech documents, Manuals etc.

I guess this will do for a start.

Q2 : you can upload documents and you can associate documents to kb item so you can

Q1 : In the inventory , you must enable reservation for each item you want

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was able to upload documents and also associate them with the KB.

The only fields i can see in the inventory are
Name Manufacturer Serial Number Status Type Model OS Location Last update Contact

Hence i have no idea from where to enable reservation for the inventory items.. eg a laptop which is used fer presentation.

go into the computers underneath the inventory button then click on your portables name,

from there in the right hand column of the details is a loan section click 'Click to authorize the loan' link
