Bug in ldap/groups?

I've resolved my LDAP trouble, but not completely, in OpenLDAP.

If i create group and i setup users gathering from user, setting up attribute name as 'giudnumber' and the value as, eg, 1047, group gathering work.

But if i setup gathering from groups, and i put in the dn, eg, 'cn=uffconta,ou=Group,dc=sv,dc=lnf,dc=it', i got nothing. I've tried tackling with LDAP parameters in many ways, but with no clue.

Thanks.

Hem, sorry, misspelling: gidnumber

What mean LDAP template? Do you mean schema? I use my openldap setup to handle POSIX and Samba users, so i use only standard schema plus samba.schema.

Group are classical 'cn=users,ou=Group,dc=sv,dc=lnf,dc=it' with members on multiple instance of field memberuid within.

meetoo... to track down, can you post please your (full) ldap configuration, so we can do a double-check options by options?

Or: can be that fact that LDAP data are imported on login, and so until a user does not login the import does not trigger?

Can be added to GLPI a ``button'' that force a LDAP sincronization of all userbase? I think it can be usefoul...

Re: Bug in ldap/groups?

we have already make several answers about mass sync or import of users from LDAP.
It is not possible ti set up a standard import system because we could not determine for all LDAP system which items correspond to users.
So you need to make a home made import script.
We could insert in the SVN such a script but I think it will not work for everybody

I'm not speaking abount that, i don't need a mass-import script but to force a sycronization between LDAP and current defined users without ask the users itself to login to GLPI.

Re: Bug in ldap/groups?

What is the interest of doing that ?
You need real informations when the user is logged in (for tracking insertion etc etc).
So datas are updated when the user logged in.

For example, setting up the system for the first time.
For example, because i've to print label/stickers to stick on PC/monitors/... and i need complete data.

Suffices? wink

Re: Bug in ldap/groups?

You could post on the trac but it will not be done soon. We have lots of things to do before.

If someone want to do it it will be quicker.

Done, thanks.

PS: but to be in topic with thread subject: can you confirm that also group information are loaded from LDAP only on login? So it is perfectly normal that when i add a group, they are empty?
