Trouble installing plugins...

Now i'm trying to install some plugins, for the firs instance i'cve tried with backup.

Decompressed the tarball, the menù ``plugins'' appear, but when i click on 'install backup plugins' i got:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /glpi/plugins/backups/front/plugin_backups.install.php on this server.

clearly /glpi/plugins/backups/front/plugin_backups.install.php are readable by the webaserver, and i've no clue how to continue...

I've not tried a chmod 777, but clerly this seems a brute force hack rather then a solution... wink))

I've to chmod 777 all the plugins folder inside glpi or what?

No, there's no .htaccess on plugins or elsewhere under.

I've tried another plugin (webapp), same error.

I've chown-ed all glpi dirs and subfolder, same error.

boh...

I've catched in apache log:

[Wed Oct  4 14:39:31 2006] [error] [client 10.5.1.18] client denied by server configuration: /var/www/glpi/plugins/appweb/front/plugin_appweb.install.php

so seems a server-side configuration; but i've no strange server side configuration, only the default debian http.conf file and some minor changes on a per-named vhost (and i'm using the default website root as test, so these does not apply).

I've tried to move /var/www/glpi/plugins/appweb/front/plugin_appweb.install.php into /var/www/glpi/plugins/appweb/front/i.php and installation succeeded (but the page goes to infinite loop...), but after installation i got the same error on every pages, eg on:

http://neobe.sv.lnf.it/glpi/plugins/bac … _tapes.php

I've read carefully all http.conf file with no luck, can i send you for revision?

Re: Trouble installing plugins...

Some more info.

I've linked (ln -s) all file like plugin_backups.in*.php to it*.pgp (eg, plugin_backups.index_libraries.php to index_libraries.php) and all works (clearly, i've to correct manually links in browser).

all the remaining php file seems to work well. Boh.

Ahem. Ops. I've rechecked all my configuration, and i've found an entry:

<Files ~ "\.inc*">
        Order allow,deny
        Deny from all
</Files>

taken from phpgroupware that slipped out a <Named VirtualHost and <Directory section, so apply to all the site.

Mystery solved, sorry me. ;(
