Problem with Active Directory

Hi everyone !

I want to use GLPI on my intranet. To facilitate my future users to log into glpi I want to use the LDAP directory.
The thing is that GLPI can only detect the AD when I don't specify the DN account, otherwise the test will fail. Can someone help me ?

I did a screenshot so you can help me easily : http://hpics.li/b32ffef

Thanks for the help !

William.

Yes :http://hpics.li/9d2461f

I said that the test is good if I don't put any user in DN acount's field but when I do, the test fails.

Re: Problem with Active Directory

As far as I remember, the bind user is only used to retrieve AD users.
from your image it seems to me that you didn't put the full DN but just the username.
You need to use full user DN, something like CN=user,OU=solicia,dc=solicia,dc=fr (assuming your bind user is whithin the solicia OU).
To retrieve the DN, open Active Directory users and computers, go to View->Advanced and then open the user. Now you should have an "attribute tab" so you can copy & paste the value to avoid errors.

I suggest you create a domain guest user for such a task.

Re: Problem with Active Directory

Hi LucaC, the DN I mentionned in the DN field is good I'm certain now after watching some videos. Can it be a problem with rights ? Because in the DN field I mentionned the admin account so this account got the full rights and normally there shouldn't be any problems with rights so I prefer to ask.

Re: Problem with Active Directory

(I changed the DN to : cn=admin,ou=solicia,dc=solicia,dc=fr but it still fails at the tests)
