Hi.
Is it possible to change the category of closed tickets?
When I try to change, an error message appears.
Thank you.

You can change .
1) change the status of the ticket to solved (user profile should have that access to change the life cycle) .
2) Change the category (user profile should have the update rights on the tickets)
Version 9.1.2

But then the problem is that the resolution date changes.

even you can update the resolution dates as well if you have admin rights.
Modify the priority. It is just a thought not tested.

But I want to update the category of more than 2000 closed tickets. If I have to individually change the resolution date after updating the category is a big problem.

Hi We can do it from Backend at database level. Export them to excel sheet and use current category and new category.
Then import them to the database and update them based on the ticket ID

You can't do any action on a closed ticket, just reopen it

Yes, it's possible. Do massive update and select to update a 'Category' field
