Second point has not been solved yet. How does sql database seem to grow at a highly exponential rate rather than just at a linear rate?
Please help
Regarding second issue, no, I don't use FusionInventory. I add all items manually in the same way, by just filling the due fields and adding a document after that -a jpg file ~150 Kb size max-. Still I cannot understand how sql database seems to grow at a highly exponential rate rather than just at a linear rate...
]]>For the second one, it's depends of the item. If your item is a computer and if you used FusionInventory agent, you have lot a event in the history
]]>First, I upgraded from 0.90.5 to 9.1.3, and when adding a new item I noticed the operating system field has become an apart tab, just like the documents tab for example. I already read this was introduced since 9.1.
But this also meant I cannot create a new item and add its operating system at same time anymore. If I make changes in operating system tab then click save, it kind of updates/creates a template without creating the new item at all. I have to first fill the new item basic fields, add it, then come back and fill the rest of the tabs. Is this intended behavior?
Second, is the sql database meant to grow at a ridiculous exponential rate? Using MariaDB on Centos 7. I have circa 150 items total, each with a document, a jpg pic less than 150 Kb size. Back when I had just 50 items with their respective jpgs I made a mysqldump backup and size was just a couple of Mb. Starting at some point, adding one or 2 items made database grow one or two Mb bigger! And so on.
Back when having few items adding one single item with its respective document made database grow not much; now a single item addition can make it grow couple of Mb.
Right now circa 150 items, ~80 Mb size!?
Though I have been constantly upgrading glpi versions. I remember first one was 0.84.x, then passed through 0.90.1, then 0.90.5 and finally 9.1.3...
Thanks beforehand.
